Privacy Policy

Siftano respects your privacy and describes here how information is actually handled. This page is an operational draft and has not yet received professional legal review.

Operator and Scope

Siftano is an independent technology publication operated by Archiv Review, a business registered in the Republic of Korea. This policy applies to the Siftano website and to inquiries sent to our official contact email.

We describe our current, actual practices rather than making promises we cannot verify. Where a detail still requires professional legal review, we say so instead of inventing specifics.

Information Collected Through the Website

Siftano is a static website. We do not offer user accounts, logins, comments, newsletter subscriptions, or personal-data forms. As a result, we do not collect your name, email address, phone number, or other personal contact information through website forms.

We use Google Analytics 4 only after a visitor actively allows analytics. Before consent, we do not set tracking cookies, the Google tag does not load, and no analytics data is sent to Google. After consent, Google Analytics may set first-party analytics cookies. We do not use Google Tag Manager, advertising trackers, behavioral advertising, or cross-site profiling.

Email Inquiries

When you contact us at contact@siftano.com, we receive your email address, the content of your message, and any files or materials you choose to attach. We use this information only to respond to your inquiry, to handle correction requests, and to deal with rights requests or disputes.

Please do not send passwords, API keys, recovery codes, or other sensitive credentials by email. After an inquiry is handled, we delete or minimize information that is no longer needed, and we keep information only for as long as a legal obligation or the establishment, exercise, or defense of a legal claim requires.

Technical Access Logs

Like most websites, our hosting, content delivery network (CDN), and security infrastructure may automatically process technical log data so that the site can be delivered and kept secure. Depending on provider settings, this can include:

The purpose of this processing is content delivery, security, abuse prevention, incident investigation, and maintaining performance and availability. Archiv Review does not separately download raw access logs to build profiles of individual readers. Any additional retention by a provider follows that provider's applicable policy, configuration, and legal obligations.

  • IP address and the approximate, IP-based location it implies
  • Browser, device, and operating system information
  • The requested URL or page and the referring page
  • Date and time of the request
  • Response, error, and security-diagnostic data

Providers and International Processing

Siftano is hosted and delivered through Vercel, which acts as our hosting, content delivery, and security provider. When your browser requests the site, your request is served through Vercel's globally distributed, encrypted network.

As a result, information such as technical log data may be processed in the United States and in other regions operated by Vercel or its sub-processors. The precise legal basis for international transfers, the specific countries and sub-processors involved, and applicable retention periods are among the items still pending professional legal review.

When analytics consent is granted, Google LLC provides Google Analytics 4 and may process analytics data through infrastructure located in the United States and other regions. Google's applicable terms, privacy documentation, and subprocessors govern that provider-side processing. The exact legal basis and safeguards for international transfers remain subject to professional legal review.

Retention and Deletion

Email inquiries that Archiv Review receives directly are deleted or minimized once their purpose has been met. Where a dispute or legal obligation applies, the related information is kept, with restricted access, only for the period that is necessary.

We do not maintain a separate long-term archive of raw access logs. Data held by our providers may be deleted or anonymized according to each provider's policy and settings. Where information cannot be immediately removed from backups, we restrict access to it and let it expire under the normal backup rotation.

The Google Analytics property is configured to retain user- and event-level data for two months. Standard aggregate reports may remain available according to Google Analytics service behavior. Analytics consent preferences stored in the browser expire after approximately six months unless changed sooner.

Your Rights and Contact

You can ask to access, correct, or delete information related to you, or raise any question about how information is processed, by writing to contact@siftano.com.

We may need to confirm that a request comes from you or an authorized representative before we act on it, and some requests may be limited where a legal ground for restriction applies.
